Mr. May became a consulting actuary when he joined Rudd and Wisdom. He later became a Principal and then a Senior Principal of the firm. He is now a consulting actuary of the firm.

Professional Designations:

Mr. May is a member of the National Association of Forensic Economics. He is also a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and as Enrolled Actuary.

Expertise:

Mr. May provides forensic economic services required to determine reduced life expectancies and economic losses in personal injury, wrongful death and wrongful termination litigation. In the past, he provided actuarial services for the design, funding and administration of public defined benefit retirement plans. In 2013 he was appointed by Texas Governor Rick Perry to fill a six-year term in the actuary position of the Texas Pension Review Board, which is the Texas state agency with oversight responsibilities for Texas state and local public defined benefit pension plans.

Education:

Mr. May is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
