Ms. Xiu Li
Ms. Li has been a consulting actuary with Rudd and Wisdom, Inc. since December 2024. Prior to joining the firm, she held key leadership, management, and technical roles at several prominent organizations, including Universal North America, Liberty Mutual, the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association, Travelers Insurance Group, and the Texas Department of Insurance.
At Universal North America, Ms. Li headed the pricing and reserving for both residential and commercial property lines. She also led the pricing team for the Business Owner Package line of business at Liberty Mutual (State Auto branch). Additionally, Ms. Li managed the pricing and reserving team for property lines at the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association. During her five years at Travelers Insurance, she specialized in Generalized Linear Regression modeling as a predictive modeler. She also served as a Workers’ Compensation researcher during her tenure at the Texas Department of Insurance.

Expertise
Ms. Li has extensive experience in pricing, reserving, and new product development across a range of personal and commercial lines, including Commercial Auto, Workers’ Compensation, Residential Property, Commercial Property, Business Owner Package, and Professional Liability. She served as the Appointed Actuary for the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association from 2017 to 2022. Ms. Li is also highly skilled in Predictive Analytics, with expertise in rate development, underwriting, and claims analytics.
